An Unhealthy Mind
Mental health or the lack of it can not be observed with the naked eye, we are often quite unaware of it as a result. On a careful and deeper look, though, we will find that our minds are more unhealthy than our bodies. Mental illnesses such as insomnia, memory issues, headaches, mental fogginess and delirium are on a rapid rise. Our lives are getting pushed into a downward spiral due to mental disorders like excessive worrying, fear, despondency, and apathy.
Emotional disturbances are depriving us of human qualities of joy, happiness, grit, courage, generosity, kindness and compassion. As a result of this deprivation, our human soul is reduced to a subhuman existence, unable to exploit the God-given human possibilities. If only we could cultivate the generous and grand human emotions, we could live an extraordinary life filled with happiness and joy paralleling that of the great souls, even within ordinary circumstances.
